It’s been a little while since I’ve been to a new venue, but Ginny and Keith’s wedding provided the perfect occasion for my first visit to Aldie Mansion in Doylestown.  Aldie provided plenty of great spots for some indoor getting ready and details shots as well as outdoor portraits of the happy couple and their bridal party.  A towering old oak tree behind the mansion proved to be a stunning backdrop for the couple’s nuptials.  I had a great time working with them for their wedding.

The day also turned out beautifully due in part to the great team that Ginny and Keith had working for them.  Erin and her assistant Lisa, of Proud to Plan were on site for day-of coordination and  Whimsical Welcomes designed the flowers for the event.  Synergetic Sounds provided the musical backing for the ceremony as well as the lights and music that kept the party going long after the delicious dinner by Jeffrey A. Miller Catering.  Last but not least, Kenneth Stillman Video captured the couple’s day for them to enjoy for years to come.

Last but certainly not least, I  want to thank my Second Shooter Joey.  I would be lost without him these days buddy.  Thank you for all your support.

Whimsical Welcomes always does a stunning job with the flowers.  It’s always fun to see how they can incorporate such a wide variety of flowers and arrangements within a color palette.

When it comes to nice people, Ali and Brian take the wedding cake.  Not only was the couple fun to work with and insanely photogenic, but they also have big hearts, as evidenced by the fact that they chose to book my second annual Feel Good Package way back in November.  If you don’t remember, the Feel Good Package is when I shoot a wedding for free in return for a donation to help buy holiday gifts for a family in need.  For the past two years I’ve been fortunate enough to have great clients book that package and join me and my family as we do the holiday shopping for the family we “adopt” through the Greater Philadelphia Cares organization.  I was so excited to get to know Ali and Brian in that special way before their wedding day.

Flash forward to August and you’ll see that Ali and Brian picked a perfect day for a wedding in the city.  This was evidenced by the bright blue skies in their reveal photos taken around the Philadelphia Museum of Art.  They followed up their ceremony at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul with a superbly planned reception at the Ballroom at the Ben.  The band Jelly Roll of Brandywine Valley Entertainment knew the groom personally, so they put together a spectacular performance that made the night extra special.

Ali and Brian also had help from a few other vendors — Video One Productions shot the day’s video footage and Ring of Roses was the florist for the event.  Meghan Cahill of Hair by Meghan and Emily of Cheekadee helped put the finishing touches on the bride’s look.

Meredith and Mark were married on a gorgeous day in late July.  I had such an immediate connection with these two!  They are just amazing people.  Mark is a budding photographer as you will see by some of the funny photos below.  I had so much fun talking shop with him, it is so nice when my clients complete appreciate my craft.  Thank you guys so much for choosing me to document your special day!   Love you to death!!
